When installing a KLAFS sauna, there are several important factors to consider, including space, floor load, and electrical requirements. First, ensure you have ample space for your sauna, ideally with eight-foot ceilings. The floor must be level and capable of supporting a substantial load as KLAFS saunas weigh between 800 and 1,500 pounds, not including the users. It is highly encouraged that your flooring is cement, tile, or any material that doesn't absorb water. Additionally, you'll need a dedicated 240V outlet with the appropriate amperage based on the size of your sauna.

KLAFS saunas are designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing flooring, which is why they do not include a floor. We strongly recommend flooring such as cement, tile, or any non-absorbent surface. If desired, we also offer floor kits that can be placed on top of your current flooring within the sauna.
